coconut fibre treatment
The coconut fibres are spun from the fibres of the husk. The husk is first retted, which means it’s exposed to water for a long time. This eliminates natural stickiness. This treatment shows that coconut fabrics (including carpet) are very resistant to moisture. After retting, the fibres are dried, beaten and spun into yarn.
